Not Just Another Ethics Class™ What Oklahoma LMFTs, LPCs and Behavioral Health Professionals Need to Know When Real Life Doesn't Match the Rulebook Most ethical complaints do not begin with intentional misconduct. They develop gradually through clinical pressure, documentation problems, boundary challenges, role confusion, competing responsibilities and decisions made under stress. This practical training moves beyond a simple review of ethical rules and explores how professional risk develops in everyday practice. Participants will examine common situations that place clinicians at risk, including documentation concerns, boundary questions, dual relationships, communication issues, consultation challenges and decision-making under pressure. Using real-world clinical scenarios, participants will learn how seemingly small decisions can accumulate over time and create significant professional consequences. The course emphasizes practical application rather than memorization of rules, helping clinicians translate ethical standards into daily clinical practice. Special attention is given to recognizing early warning signs of ethical drift, strengthening professional judgment and implementing documentation practices that support defensible clinical decision-making. Participants will leave with practical tools that can be immediately applied to clinical work, supervision and professional practice. Cancellation Policy
Continuing Education Registration Policy Registration is required in advance for all trainings. Participants will receive access information and course materials (if applicable) prior to the training date. Cancellations & Transfers Cancellations made at least 7 days before the training date may be transferred to another available training or converted to a training credit. Because seating is limited and course materials are prepared in advance, refunds are not available for cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the training. Attendance & CE Credit Participants must attend the full training and meet all continuing education requirements, including completion of any required evaluation, to receive CE credit and a certificate of completion. Technology Requirements Participants are responsible for having adequate internet access, audio capability, and a device capable of participating in Zoom-based training. Course Changes Trey Trotter, LMFT reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a training due to low enrollment, illness, technology failure, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. If a training is canceled by the provider, participants will receive a full refund or transfer option.
